Cupping
During cupping, a vacuum is created in so-called cupping glasses or cupping heads. These cupping glasses are placed directly on the skin. The negative pressure is usually achieved by heating the air in the cupping glass and immediately placing it on the patient's skin. Heating is achieved using cotton wool dipped in alcohol, a piece of cotton fabric or a flake of cotton wool, each of which is set alight. Alternatively, the negative pressure can be generated by a suction device in the cupping glass.
Cupping is helpful for a variety of complaints, including migraines, rheumatism, disc problems, lumbago, knee problems, high blood pressure, bronchitis, asthma, headaches, kidney weakness, weather sensitivity, hypotension, fatigue, depression, weakness, digestive problems, cardiovascular diseases, organ problems, fever, colds and flu.
